Microneedling with HA Serum: Deep Hydration and Skin Renewal

What is Microneedling with Hyaluronic Acid Serum?
Microneedling with hyaluronic acid (HA) is a highly effective  treatment that uses fine needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen production. During the treatment, we infuse the skin with a potent hyaluronic acid serum, which deeply hydrates, plumps, and nourishes the skin. HA is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps retain moisture, giving your complexion a youthful, dewy appearance. This treatment works wonders to smooth fine lines and leave your skin glowing and refreshed.

What Are the Benefits?

  • Intense Hydration: Hyaluronic acid is incredibly effective for deep hydration and plumping the skin.

  • Collagen Stimulation: The microneedling process encourages your skin to produce more collagen and elastin, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin.

  • Minimally-invasive & Quick Recovery: Unlike more invasive treatments, this procedure has minimal downtime.

Ideal For:

  • Fine lines, wrinkles, and signs of aging

  • Dehydrated and dull skin

  • Anyone looking to improve overall skin radiance

Pre-Treatment Guidelines: To ensure the best results from your microneedling session with hyaluronic acid, here’s what to do before your treatment:

  1. Avoid Retinoids & Exfoliants: Stop using retinol or exfoliating products 7 days before your treatment to avoid irritation.

  2. Avoid Sun Exposure: Refrain from direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours before your treatment to minimize sensitivity.

  3. Arrive with Clean Skin: Make sure your skin is free of makeup, oils, or other skincare products so the treatment can be most effective.

  4. Avoidance of IPL/Laser procedures or sunburn for 2 weeks prior.

  5. No waxing to area being treated for 1 week prior.

  6. No shaving the day of the procedure to avoid skin irritation. If there is dense hair present in the treatment area, closely shave the area the day before you arrive at your appointment.

  7. Moles, warts or actinic keratosis cannot be treated.

  8. Avoid anti inflammatory medications: If possible, refrain from using anti inflammatory medication (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) for a few days before treatment.

What to Expect:

  • Sensation: You may feel a slight tingling or mild discomfort during the microneedling process, but a numbing cream will be applied beforehand to minimize any discomfort.

  • Aftercare: There’s minimal downtime after this treatment, but you may experience mild redness and swelling for a few days. Be sure to avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen to protect your freshly treated skin.

  • Results: The effects will be visible within a few days, as your skin starts to renew and heal. You’ll notice a smoother, plumper complexion that gets better with each session. For best results, we recommend a series of 3-6 (or more depending on your skin concerns) treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

How is Microneedling with Hyaluronic Acid Different from Exosome Microneedling?

While both microneedling with hyaluronic acid and exosome microneedling are excellent options for skin rejuvenation, there are key differences in how they work and the benefits they provide:

  • Hyaluronic Acid Serum: Microneedling with HA primarily focuses on deep hydration and plumping the skin. The hyaluronic acid is designed to hydrate and boost moisture levels, which results in immediate hydration, smoother texture, and a glowing complexion. This treatment is ideal for those looking to deeply hydrate and refresh their skin while stimulating collagen production.

  • Exosome Microneedling: Exosome microneedling uses exosomes, which are tiny particles derived from stem cells, to accelerate healing, reduce inflammation, and promote skin regeneration. While this treatment is also great for plumping the skin and hydration, it has added benefits and is often recommended for those with deeper skin concerns like scarring, wrinkles, or more severe signs of aging, as exosomes provide advanced regenerative properties beyond hydration alone.

In short, microneedling with HA is perfect for those who want deep hydration, smoother texture, and a more youthful glow, while exosome microneedling is better for those looking for advanced regeneration and healing on a deeper level.
